The campaign was started by Alyssa Wasko as part of her healing process when she lost her father, Donald Wasko. The response to her heartfelt story and her scarves continues to be on the up rise at a level the 20 year old college student never anticipated. As Donni Charm is carried by boutiques across the country as well as internationally, the scarves have become a perfect fashion statement to any outfit and are worn by many people and celebrities alike. The ways in which Alyssa directs her energy during this difficult time as she grieves the loss has served a very inspirational purpose, not only in honoring her father (as she has desired to do) but in helping and showing a positive path to other girls who share a similar loss. Donni Charm has pursued many philanthropic endeavors, a further outlet in Alyssa’s healing process.
